Profile

The Speech Pathologist is Tanya Prettapapop, M.S., CCC-SLP. She is a Bilingual (Thai and English) clinician. Before entering the Speech and Language Pathology field, she graduated with a Master of Science Program in Clinical Psychology from Faculty of Medicine Siriraj Hospital, Mahidol University, Thailand. After graduation, she went to the United States to study Speech and Language Pathology. She received her Master’s Degree in Communicative Disorders and Sciences from California State University, Northridge, USA. She is certified as clinically competent by the American Speech, Language and Hearing Association (ASHA); and also has a California Speech and Language Pathology State License.

Work Experience

Tanya has work experience in a private practice called Speech Language Education Associates (SLEA) located in Encino, California. Here she worked in school settings in various districts such as the Los Angeles Unified School District (LAUSD) and the Glendale Unified School District (GUSD); and in Adult Rehabilitation Centers in North Hollywood. Hence, she has worked with a diversity of clients. This includes but is not limited clients with speech and language disorders and delays secondary to developmental delays, Autistic Spectrum Disorders, Asperger’s Syndrome, ADHD, Down’s Syndrome, Cerebral palsy, Learning Disabilities, Dyslexia, hearing loss, dementia, Parkinson’s disease, Traumatic Brain Injury, and stroke; clients with social pragmatics problems, swallowing difficulties, aphasia, Apraxia, phonological and articulation disorders.
